An interpretation of the poem, if you like. And, in advance:    Because you can't really see the text ... The poem reads: These are my words This is my life The thoughts in my head, When I can't sleep at night This is my pain These are my dreams Caused by all the things I've seen This is my world, Please come inside, And watch as I write, This little piece of me This is my song Why don't you sing along, With me? I hope you like what you read, Because it's a piece of me These words are my hope, When I'm at the end, Of my rope They are my faith, When I can't keep my thoughts straight This is a piece of me I hope you like what you see, This piece of me Living life through my words, Seeing how much it hurts, To be me This is me, Writing so emotionally, To find my peace It's hard, don't you see, To be me? Every word that I write, Tells the story of my life, The places that I've been, From way back when Every word comes from my soul, A piece that I let go, So that you can see, What it's like to be me A little piece of me A glimpse into my dreams And the sheen, Of the tears that I cry, When I'm alone on some nights I don't feel free That's what it's like, To be me These words are my pain, Because I can't refrain, From taking yours away My thoughts and worries gain It's a wonder that I'm sane I live with memories that remain This is what it's like to be me I give this glimpse of my soul, To show all the times I've had, To let go It gets easier every day, These words take away my pain, And my loss is your gain This is just a piece of me A little piece of me Do you like what you see? A man who is not afraid, To set himself free This is me I hope that you read, This little piece of me I hope you find it inspiring I hope you sing With me Now you know what it means To be me. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
